Void Race

Void Race throws a small ship into a collapsing neon corridor where rising speed, shifting walls, and gravity wells constantly disrupt your flight. This endless arcade challenge is about surviving farther while turning dangerous sections into scoring opportunities.

Gameplay Overview

Hull Changes How You Take Risks

Your ship has a Hull bar: direct impacts remove a larger portion, while scraping against corridor walls drains it gradually. Clean flight slowly restores Hull, and repair pickups provide a quicker recovery option. This makes damage manageable, but repeated contact can still end a promising run.

The corridor becomes less forgiving over time. Narrowing borders reduce safe space while pink spiked hazards, blue chevron-shaped blocks, and gravity wells force sudden adjustments. Shards collected during Void Race can later improve Thrusters, Hull, Core, Magnet, or Launch Boost, giving short attempts permanent progression beyond distance records and leaderboard scores.

Using Overdrive At The Right Moment

  • Charge first: Overdrive must be prepared before it becomes available.
  • Phase through danger: Activation provides four seconds of invulnerability.
  • Double the score: Points earned during the effect receive a 2× multiplier.
  • Target dense sections: Saving it for clustered hazards can remove the need for several risky steering corrections.
  • Combine with boost gates: Gates build the score multiplier, making controlled scoring routes more valuable.
  • Protect weak Hull: Overdrive can also preserve a damaged ship when avoiding the next obstacle normally would be difficult.

Flight Controls

  • A / D: Steer left or right.
  • Left / Right Arrows: Alternative steering controls.
  • Space: Activate Overdrive.
  • Mobile drag: Guide the ship toward your finger movement.
  • Mobile screen halves: Hold either side to steer in that direction.
  • On-screen button: Trigger Overdrive on mobile.
