Wave Race challenges you to guide an arrow through geometric tunnels using a simple hold-and-release flight system. Cross increasingly tight passages now!
Three Ways To Race
Wave Race divides its challenges into three modes with different objectives. Classic contains 33 selectable levels, with later courses introducing tighter spaces and more demanding layouts. Checkpoints provide opportunities to practice difficult sections instead of repeatedly learning an entire course from the beginning.
Endless removes the finish line and measures how far you can travel before crashing. Race puts your arrow alongside other competitors, shifting the objective toward reaching the finish before them. Colorful arrow skins also provide visual customization outside the main challenges.
Obstacles Across The Course
- Spikes: Punish poorly timed changes in height.
- Walls: Restrict the available route through a section.
- Rotating cogs: Add moving threats that require more careful entry timing.
- Slopes: Change the shape of the space available to the arrow.
- Narrow passages: Leave little room for unnecessary movement.
Master The Wave Path
Wave Race moves the arrow forward automatically while you control its vertical trajectory. Holding the mouse button, W, or Spacebar sends it upward, while releasing the input brings it downward. A collision immediately ends the attempt.
The most effective approach is to read the center of the next safe opening, not the obstacle directly in front of the arrow. Entering a narrow gap from a poor height forces a large correction inside a space where there may not be enough room to recover. Small adjustments made earlier produce a more controlled wave path and become increasingly important on harder layouts.
Flight Controls
- Mouse / W / Spacebar: Hold to rise.
- Release: Descend.
- P: Pause the run.
